Excellent pop, but too little of it.,
This review is from: 200 km/h In The Wrong Lane (Audio CD)
While all the songs on the CD are easily worth listening to, the fact is that there's only 8 of them, plus the Russian versions of All The Things She Said and Not Gonna Get Us, an extended version of Show Me Love, and remixes of 30 Minutes and Malchik Gay. Which puts the total running time, minus the five duplicates, at a measly 30 minutes.
This is made all the more baffling by the inclusion of the two Russian versions of songs that were already on the CD. If they were going to include songs in Russian, why not some from the Russian version of '200Km/h' that weren't translated?
The remix of 30 Minutes is different enough to be worthy of inclusion (can't comment on the remix of Malchik Gay as it wasn't on the release I bought), but the fact is that it isn't really worth listening to the Russian repeats or the extended Show Me Love, so you're likely to just switch the CD off rather than skip over to it.
In conclusion: great music, inexcusably lazy production, hopefully Tatu won't be written off as a gimmick and there'll be a follow-up.
(Oh, and the lesbian thing? Who cares? For those like me that don't watch MTV, it amounts to female singers singing about a 'she', which you can find at any karaoke bar.)
