Terrible, rushed and could have been so much more,
This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon [DVD] (DVD)
As a massive Transformers fan from when I was a child I couldn't wait for the films to be released and found the first two films brilliant and true to the cartoons and brought back lots of fond memories from the original series in the 80's.
The third instalment had a lot of hype surrounding it and promised from the trailer an all out robot war and a conclusion to the series which was what was expected.
However there are so many bad points to this film the list can go on forever it is far from its predecessors and any TRUE transformers fan would agree with this shambles of a film.
Firstly there is no battle royal with optimus and megatron which ALWAYS happened in the series and the other two films in fact its quit insignificant In fact megatron is only in the film for probably 10 minuets and you see no banter with him and starscream as you did in the previous film.
Sam is very annoying in this film and all we get is his girlfriend problems instead of getting on with the plot.
Also there was so much focus on the humans fighting the decepticons you hardly see any of the robots fighting together and when you do its very short lived and disappointing (which to me is the WHOLE point of transformers robots smashing each other to bits?)considering how the decepticons easily wipe out a whole army of humans in the first film and nearly in the second. In this trash a handful of men seem to give the decepticons more of a wooping than the autobots do. What was all that about?
John Malcovitich is in the film just because he had nothing better to do and thought I want to be in a transformers movie and his role is boring and pointless and could have been played by any unheard of actor defiantly took the money and run on this one.
Autobots go from fighting the decpeticons to surrendering to them in a matter of minuets which is bad enough but then ALLOW them to start executing them one by one whilst they all watch without intervening this is shocking and never would have happened in the cartoon Michael Bay do you even know what Transformers is about?
Just forget this rubbish even happened the first two films are great but this is probably the worst film I have seen in ages.
