5.0 out of 5 stars WE NEED THIS MUSIC MORE THAN EVER!!!, 5 July 2007

This review is from: Jollity (Audio CD)
Having spun this album for the last two days solid I feel I can say that it's up there! As with 'spilt milk' and 'skylarking' it hasn't got one single filler on it. It's inspired and well crafted power-pop at it's absolute best. The overall feel is retro with use of strings, mellotron, acoustic guitars and harmonies but the band sounds fresh, contemporary and timeless with nods to The Beatles, Beach boys and XTC. The sheer quality (identity!) of these songs will make this band huge one day! So, anyone into Aimee Mann, Michael Penn, XTC & Andy Partridge, The Beatles, Jellyfish, Jason Falkner, Beach boys, The Posies, Elvis Costello, Elliott Smith etc. should seriously consider getting this album! This album and the previous 'earworm' can both be found on Itunes in case they're sold out here.

" I simple refuse to believe, all of the bad, 'cause this could be good!!"

The best XTC record Andy Partridge never wrote (well he helped with one track and Dave Gregory is all over it !)
