4.0 out of 5 stars Plays just like an official PlayStation pad, 24 May 2010
This review is from: Kinobo USB Gamepad / Joypad for PC XP/Vista/Windows 7 - Full Vibration Feedback (Personal Computers)
Though I don't often play console-type games on my PC, there are a couple of games I've recently started to play which really require a joypad. I found this one which seemed to have some decent reviews for the price, and decided to order it. It arrived really quickly and well-packaged, and fully met and even exceeded my expectations.

It feels just like a regular PS2 joypad to hold and play. It has a good weight, which often is not the case with these 'cheap' pads, and all the buttons are in the right place and feel the same, though they are labelled a little differently, and the analog sticks are really smooth.

It worked immediately without having to do any driver installation on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04.

There are two problems I've had with the pad. One is that I haven't been able to get the vibration to work. The second is that when setting it up some of the buttons seem to be swapped around. However, these two problems could well be bugs/limitations in the software I am using (a PlayStation emulator), so I can't really knock the pad for this.

So all-in-all, well worth the money and I am very pleased with it.

There are drivers available for the dual shock on our website (support.kinobo.co.uk) which should work with Windows 7. For Ubuntu, I'm not sure but let us know if it works and we'll update the kinobo support page. Thanks!
