2.0 out of 5 stars Dodgy sizing, nice jeans, 28 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Levi's Women's Classic Rise Slight Curve Slim Jeans (Apparel)
My husband bought these jeans for me after I advised him of my size so I'm penning a review on his account. Basically, despite fitting into a size 30/34 on various other Levi's Curve ID products these didn't fit - they actually measured 30 inches around the waist (shock horror!) and aren't 'vanity sized' as most of the other products are. I am quite annoyed, considering the fact that Levi's Curve ID was invented specifically to address the issue of women's jeans not fitting properly, but there are huge differences between the various denim washes and country of origin.

Call me obsessed but I've written to Levi's about this - after all, who wants to pay premium prices for denim which isn't quality checked for continuity? I went to the Levi's flagship store in Regent's Street today and tried on a variety of different size and fits - guess what? A slight curve skinny pair in 30/34 fitted like a glove and I purchased them. Therefore I really can't endorse the purchase of these jeans online as it's a total lottery. Full marks to Amazon for their free returns though - Levi's website wanted to charge me for it!

I completely agree with you!!!
I used to buy a length 32" for ages. With these curved ID's though you never know any more. Will length 32" be enough or do I need a 34" in length? As well in sizing (width). Something has changed rigorously ;-). I now all of a sudden can buy a 27 in demi curve's or a 28 in slight curve's ;-), and that I even can't be sure of any more. Sometimes within same models but different colouring the size is different.... The material also changed (not always to the positive).
Well, the last real good Levi's in my opinion, with stronger material (98 % cotton and 2 % stretch), was the Levi's 571 slim fit. It's a pitty that this is not available anymore.
