a note of caution,
This review is from: Apple MacBook Pro 15 inch Laptop (Quad-Core i7 2.2GHz, RAM 4GB, HDD 500GB Graphics, Radeon HD 6750M SD) (Personal Computers)Bought the Apple Mac pro only 3 months ago and I've already had spec problems. I went through all the troubleshooting tips and none of them worked. When I phoned their troubleshooting hotline they told me what they want me to do is to go my nearest Apple store.
Now, that's all fine and dandy if you're in a major conurbation but I live out in the sticks!
My nearest one is over 40 miles away!!So, now I have to make an 80 mile round trip through no fault of my own to have the damned thing be looked at at the Genius bar. Well whoever was the genius that thought that system up needs his hard drive re-booting - preferably up the backside port!
And to say I paid so much for the privilege...

How is the fact that you live out in the sticks, the fault of the people who sold you the item or Apple. You don't even deserve to own such a piece of kit, you're an idiot.

He is quit right to be annoyed, it's reasonable to expect better service especially for such an expensive item which is under warranty. Nearly every other manufacturer will arrange to to have the item collected by a courrier at the companies expense, or at the very least provide the owner with the option to post the item to a repair center. Doesn't asking the customer to waste their personal time and money returning a faulty product seem wrong to you?
I live in London and have had to take my laptop to the Regent Street store for repairs twice (LCD panel failed and needed to be replaced, followed by the GFX card) an annoying experience even without a 40 mile drive. I had to make an appointment at a time which was convenient for the "Genius bar", and on both occasions I showed up at the specified time only to wait at least 30 minutes extra until I could be served.
Also, who are you to decide who "deserves" to own anything? It's just a laptop, not a religious artefact.
