Basic point and click,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Samsung ES63 Digital Camera - Black (12 MP, 2.5 inch LCD Screen, 3x Optical Zoom) (Electronics)
The Samsung ES63 is a nice little point and click camera. Picture quality is quite good when used in sun light, but the flash can be quite poor in low light conditions - when used close up it completely saturates the picture and over any distance it is useless. 12 MP pictures allow you to print large copies (A3) but also allow you to crop pictures quite drastically and still have a decent sized picture at the end.
My main gripe with this camera is that you cannot really change any of the settings on it. There is no white balance adjustment, no shutter speed, no anything to change - you point it and you click the button. If that is what you want to do then it's a great little camera. Battery life is exceptionally good - you can take 100s of photos on a single charge. You can add upto 8GB SDHD cards into the camera which gives you the capacity to store 1200 photos at 12MP in superfine detail. The display on the back of the camera is quite good, so you can see your photos easily on the camera without having to resort to using a PC. You don't get a carry case, so you may want to buy one.

White balance and ISO adjustment are available when the camera is set to "Program Mode". Scroll down to "Functions" then these and many other functions can be set.
Flash 0.2 - 3.75m wide and 0.5 - 2m tele is reasonable for this type of camera.
