everyday bloke meets Goddess!!,
This review is from: My Week With Marilyn (Hardcover)
This account of Marilyn is one of the finest I have read, along with Trumen Capote's 'beautiful child.
It is told by an everyday, inexperienced young director, desperate to make it big in the film business. He meets Marilyn and, like everyone else, is instantly besotted.
Over the next few days he gets to know the 'real' Marilyn, without the facade of film-star goddess. He gets to know her fears, her joys, and her sorrows.
This is a deeply personal and thoughtful account of the friendship which grew between the two of them. It is moving and gives us a better understanding of the Goddess that Marilyn truely was.
A thourally enjoyable and interesting read, which must be read by Marilyn fans (like me!) who wish to get to know the thoughts behind the beautiful face.
