Does not repel midges,
I have tried this and it definitely does not repel midges and I was eaten alive.I also don't like the smell.
What does repel midges brilliantly is Dr Hauschka's hand cream. A revelation. I was putting some on the other day while walking the dogs and they were literally covered in midges but I was untouched! I was so amazed that I have since tried it several times more and tried sitting still on a bench where the midges are at their very worst. I put some of the hand cream on my face and neck and hands and waited. Not one midge landed on me although they were covering the dogs. Try it and you will see.

This product has changed my life as far as midges go; I never have to wear a net or anything now which I always had to before. The midges are still around you but keep off you at a distance of say about 30 - 60 cms (1 - 2 ft). The tube lasts a long time as you only need a thin layer to keep them away. I have now tried this on my friends and they are amazed at how brilliantly this works. We could never sit outside on my terrace in the evening before, in spite of burning citronella candles and covering ourselves in anti-midge spray; we still got eaten alive.
I am so happy to have found this solution. BTW all my friends love the scent which is just natural oils.
I bought 10 tubes from one of the German Amazon sellers which was a lot cheaper. It is also a fantastic hand cream!
