This review is from: Chip-i SafeLock Lambskin Leather Case for Kindle 3 Keyboard - BLACK
After a good deal of searching around, I came across this cover for the Kindle. For less than half the price of the official amazon version you get a soft leather case (admittedly very thin leather) which is well made and functional.
There are some well thought-out features:
The pop studs are on the back of the case, so you don't press on the screen when closing the case.
The retaining flap at the top doesn't look like it will get in the way of most of the after-market clip lights.
You can fold the cover back completely and, with a bit of a fiddle, clip the cover backwards onto its pop stud. This means that you can insert a couple of fingers in between the cover and the case to hold the Kindle.
The pageturn button apertures are a decent size and the charge port and power switch are easily accessible.
I don't know why the manufacturer bothered to put a double slip pocket on the inside front. Maybe it adds a bit of rigidity to the case?
My only (minor) gripe is the embossed logo on the bottom right of the front cover.
Why pay more?
