This review is from: Until Dark (Mass Market Paperback)
a skilled compositer for the FBI, Kendra Smith has a way with witnesses, helping them to remember crucial details about their attackers they might otherewise have forgotten. she believes her work helps victims and familys get closure - something that has eluded her for eleven years since her brother was kidnapped and his body never found.
she is called in to sketch the face of a man the press is calling the soccer mom killer. it's a difficult investigation made even harder by the presence of special agent Adam Stark, a man whom she once had a brief but passionate affair with.
as the number of victims continues to rise and with a killer always one step ahaed, Kendra will learn a lethal lesson:
you can run from the past, but you can't hide.....
this is the first book that i have read by this author and my first impression is WOW. this is an exciting and very well written thriller. full of suspense and forboding, the ending leaves you asking questions like, if there are people like this in the world, then we should all be worried. it didn't seem much of an explanation - this reason for killing, only to the killer!
the book is fast paced with a nice mixture of suspense/romance/physcological intrigue and a damn fine story.
the only let down for me, was when Kendra fought the killer and seemed to have the edge - highly unlikely seeing as he was a prolific killer.
this is a book that i would highly recommend

Mrs. C. Stevenson says:
Well, I've read a lot of her books and in sequence too but at least now I don't have to buy and read this one to know what is going to happen at the end!!!
