Seems to work well,
This review is from: Marmitek Digital Wireless Surround Sender (Electronics)
Just got one of these, to provide sound to a second room. I would have wired directly, but chose this wireless set because:
1. I have spare 6 ohm speakers but plugging those into the second speaker outputs on my lovely 30 year old amp (which needs to drive 8-16 ohms) risks damaging the amp at higher volumes. The tech people at my amp manufacturer thought that this tranmsitter/receiver/amp was a good solution to protect the amp because it wouldn't "see" the transmitter connected to the second speaker outputs because speakers are not directly connected.
2. Other wireless speaker systems are £75 upwards but are usually only a miserable 3-4 watts per channel. The receiver/amp of this is 2 x 15W.
3. It transmits on 5.8 GHz so it doesn't interfere with cordless or mobile phones, or my 2.4 Ghz network.
Plugged it in, it worked fine straight away with no crackles or pops through a 4" brick wall. The receiver needs to be pointing towards the transmitter (which is fine because it is easy then to access the volume knob - I fitted it under a kitchen unit). The transmitter needed to be turned up a bit, but it all delivers plenty of oomph without interference or noise or clipping.
Remains to be seen of course how long it lasts - but there's a 2 year warranty.
