Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: adaptare Dual 2 CompactFlash Compact Flash CF adapter IDE 2.5 inch 44 pin (Accessory)
I don't think so.It certainly isn't fast and won't replace a hard drive.
I wanted to find a cheap alternative to solid state hard drives.
Although the compact memory cards I used in the adaptor were fast, the board itself is slow,
and only one card was accessible at a time, not two together.
Other than as an alternative to a HDD,what other use is it ?
Er..,none,as far as I can see.
It wasn't expensive so no big deal.I just use my CF card in a USB adaptor instead.
I have a PCI USB board,so leave it connected to the internal USB port as a 16gb drive.
This is actually not the cheapest or most effective way to increase available memory.
I had to try it to find out the limitations though.,oh well.
I'll just have to save up for a 128 SSHDD (what will I do with the old HDD though ?)
