The man in black can still rock...,
This review is from: Stranger in Us All (Audio CD)
It is a shame if Rainbow fans overlook this gem that was released in 1995. It was the last album Ritchie Blackmore made under the Rainbow moniker before forming Blackmores Night and opting for another musical style altogether. The lead singer Dougie White has a fine voice easily matching his predecessors and Blackmores guitar is excellent throughout. Wolf to the moon and Cold hearted woman are true Rainbow rock tracks, Hunting humans follows and is a haunting track that was released as a single. Stand and fight is the only track that I would call mediocre due to the excellence of the rest of the album. I strongly urge all fans of Blackmore to discover this album and listen without prejudice. Having followed the man for the last thirty odd years I think I have enough 'experience' behind me to make such a statement.
