Nice, lightweight chain. Great secondary lock or short term lock.,
This review is from: Abus Catena Chain (Sports)
I am using this in conjunction with a u-lock and, as a secondary lock, I think it's great. I might not trust it as my only lock, but I didn't want to buy an enormous chain as my second lock and this is way better than a cable. The lock is better quality than my more expensive u-lock -- it has a pick-proof key slot and the lock cover is bolted to the chain itself, so it won't hurt your bike. It just seems very nicely made, and I'm sure that the heftier locks by Abus also share this quality. It also comes in pretty and vibrant colours, which might let a potential bike thief see sooner that your bike is locked (or just add some cheer to your lock-up time).

Pick proof huh? Not according to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jb6JFjGI_

My lock actually has a different key slot than the one in the video. Not sure if they updated it for 2011 (video was 2010) or if it still may have weaknesses. This lock is also a different model than the one in the video (though I think the one in the video is supposed to be stronger).
I haven't tried picking it myself though (nor would I know how), so I can't vouch for its 'pick-proof' claims. I do know that whenever I mistakenly try to use my other lock keys in this lock, I'm unable to get them past the 'pick-proof' cover.
Regardless, I wouldn't ever use this lock as my primary one. I always use it in conjunction with a sturdy U-lock and the Axa rear wheel O-lock that came on my bike. My bike is also rather girly and weighs as much as the average 10 year old, so those factors plus the 3 locks have kept it safe so far.
I mainly like this lock because it LOOKS sturdier than a cable lock, whether it actually is or not. And hopefully that's enough to make the bike thief move on.
