This review is from: Impressionism (Klotz) (Paperback)
The book is a good guide on the impressionist movement in general. The problem is the small format of the book. Some pictures are tiny and are obviously not suitable for a deeper insight into the work.

Apparently this is because this is the 25th anniversary of Taschen edition. Other people have told me that the previous versions of this book were larger.

Simon Mack - creative says:
having just scanned this book in a local library - i noticed a key omission for this Taschen book - namely Cezanne. however people might argue over the strict definition of impressionism - of his total exclusion from this book. his work is a key element of the broader "in the moment" style. likewise- JMW Turner predated the movement by what 50 years or so ? to my recollection - his contribution is also not mentioned i the book. fairly serious flaws i think.
