Without doubt the C5's are great headphones. I have had a pair for 18 months and pretty much use them everyday. The sound quality is fantastic and build quality of the in ear pods exemplary. My C5's became part of my routine. Then I thought disaster had struck a few weeks ago the sound became distorted and a problem had developed with the 3.5mm jack plug connection.

Having had 18 months of use I was quite sanguine about it but thought I would contact B&W to see if they could repair them as the sound was so good if not I was happy to purchase a new pair. I had an immediate response I hadn't realised but they were covered by a 24 month warranty. The customer service department issued a UPS label and picked up the headphones. In the post this morning I received a brand new set of headphones with an accompanying letter explaining their repair process and explaining that they could not be repaired hence the new headphones whilst also apologising for the inconvenience!!

Lots of companies make great products but few of them back them up with customer service to match. Therefore if you are looking for a new pair I think you will be bowled over with the C5's and if you are in the unfortunate position to need customer support then in my experience you will get a service to match.

Hey, I had exactly the same issue with my pair which i bought 14 months ago and like in your case B&W sent a new pair by special delivery in less than a week. Very good service and pleased to have a replacement pair.
