2.0 out of 5 stars Gets too complicated too early., 21 Nov. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Microsoft® XNA® Game Studio 4.0: Learn Programming Now!: How to program for Windows Phone 7, Xbox 360, Zune devices, and more (Paperback)
This book is for beginners right? So how is it YOU DON'T TEACH THE ABSOLUTE FUNDAMENTALS? It gets too complicated way too early, it's like the author's trying to show to us 'ooooh I know C-Sharp, lemme try and impress you'. Waste of money, don't buy.

I'm sorry that you have had a bad experience with this. I tried to make the text as simple to get started with as possible. If you want to take a look at another C# text of mine you can get a free copy of my C# Yellow Book (just search for this online) which takes a slightly different tack to learning programming that you might prefer.

and to add to this, the fundamentals come from C# not XNA which is a C# library for making games.
