3.0 out of 5 stars Pushing The Senses, 29 May 2005
This review is from: Pushing The Senses (Audio CD)
This is a short album with only 10 tracks, and I was left wanting more. The album is yet again different for Feeder, it is different from every other album they have made, although there are similarities. The words that describe this album are melodious and varied, with songs like 'Frequency' which are slow, thoughtful and about love and relationships, to songs like 'Pilgrim Soul' which burst with energy and meaningful lyrics which appear to be reminiscent of Jon Lee. A lot of the tracks on here seem to be about Jon Lee, which is similar to Feeder's last album 'Comfort in Sound'which is obviously understandable. This album has something for most Feeder fans, slow songs for those romantics out there and faster songs for the older fans. The two end songs 'Pain on Pain' and 'Dove Grey Sands' remind me of some songs off of 'Comfort in Sound'- 'Moonshine' and 'Quick Fade', probably because they all use strange but melodious sounds in the background. Over all I like this album, it is great to listen to as you are cruising along in your car or just when you are relaxing at home. Either way, it is worth buying but personally it is not my favourite Feeder album.
