This review is from: The Beekeeper [DVD] (DVD)A dreadful, slow, boring film, such a brilliant famous actor and yet he barely manages to get a full sentance out during the whole film. The most embarrassing scene towards the end of the film takes place on a ferry, all in all a predictable plot throughout, depressing, I had to force myself to watch it to the end.

Apparently, someone is completely unaware of Theo Angelopoulos.

Spailpin Fanach says:
I would agree with this reviewer. I found it a painfully slow film to watch with little or nothing to recommend it by way of theme, plot or characterisation.
By the way, I am aware that Theo Angelopoulos is regarded as an "important" international film director but that doesn't alter my very low opinion of this film. I believe that a film should be judged on its merits regardless of who directed it.

Paul S. Hyett says:
This film is not, dreadful, slow, or boring. It is paced and thoughtful.
Works of art are like mirrors, and a chimpanzee looking into a mirror will never see a saint reflected back!
I think someone has had too much Hollywood
