A welcome addition to the subject...,

This is the most recent English language book I know of about historical cooking equipment. This book's greatest strengths are in the breadth of the subjects covered and in its photographs, showing many, many utensils and tools and often in their proper context. It does not have a great deal of text; nonetheless it is a very welcome addition to the literature on the subject.
