Why are we treated like children??,
This review is from: Towelhead (Nothing Is Private) - Aaron Eckhart [DVD] (DVD)
I STILL cannot understand at 62 years of age WHY the UK Censor has to lop a full 12 minutes off of this, the Region 2 Version of this DVD (which admittedly is cheaper than the Region 1 version) just as he does MANY THOUSANDS of others in the year 2010? Does he/she NOT think that people are able to judge for themselves WHAT they want to see/hear/view without his/her intrusion? Not only is it now patronising it is unnecessary employment. For me it is unnecessary expense because I had to buy an ALL region player in order to watch Region 1 DVDs rather than miss the extra minutes cut-out which were usually important to the gist of the story!

again you're confusing Film to PAL conversion with cuts, and you are also confusing a Region 2 dvd with one released in the UK as this film has not even been submitted to the BBFC.

You're confusing the issue SiC, and what you say makes NO sense whatsoever?

Mr. J. R. Coupland says:
The UK censor has cut nothing off. The film isn't officially available in a UK released version, this is merely a European release which is compatible with UK players as the whole of Europe uses Reion 2. Also, Region 2 discs run faster than region 1 discs - the PAL format R2 use run one frame a second faster than the R1 NTSC format, leading to them being four minutes shorter for every hundred minutes of film (96 minutes rather than 100) without a single frame being cut.
