1.0 out of 5 stars Red Flag: This Has Been Tampered With, 29 Jun. 2008
This review is from: Fugitive: Season Two V.1 [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
This volume of "The Fugitive" is the subject of a world-class uproar here in the U.S. Unlike the first season sets, which are untouched by this, THE ENTIRE MUSICAL SCORE HAS BEEN STRIPPED OUT FOR SEASON TWO. The original theme remains in the opening and closing credits, but everything else has been removed and replaced by newly-written music performed on synthesizers. Outside of the opening and closing, none of the original score remains. As noted above, buy the first season sets with no qualms; they are musically unchanged. This set, however, has been tampered with. Unless you don't care about the music, you probably won't like it.

Totally Agree! It's a disgrace what they have done to this true classic - After carrying out such a good job on the 1st Season, why they ruined the second by depriving it of it's true score is purely DISGUSTING!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID - if for any reason - in protest!

You're absolutely right. I cannot understand their reasoning. It's an insult to the composer Pete Rugolo and an insult to fans of the series. I will certainly not buy it.

Hi Richard,
I'm a great fan of this classic series and I'm glad you've alerted us,over here in the UK,of this ARTISTIC VANDALISM! Usually we have to wait over here a few months after the American release to obtain a region 2 European version so I'm hoping that, after reading all the negative comments on Amazon.com that,by the time it's available here, the omitted music will have been restored otherwise, like many others, will feel that it's not worth buying. It's such an idiotic decision it beggars belief! It's akin to walking in to the city art gallery and spray painting some classics in an effort to "improve" them!
Regards,
Martin.
