Not as good as the original,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Reader's Digest DIY Manual: The DIY Classic - Totally Revised (Hardcover)I bought the origional Readers Digest D.I.Y manual in 1970. It consisted of a double folder type book with loose leaves. One side dedicated to showing you how to do something and one side for projects in the home. On purchasing the new updated version I was disapointed to find the Project section completly missing.
Also missing was a complete section on wood jointing, showing all the different types of joints and how to make them.I have yet to find anything in the book which would lead me to abandon the origional 1970 book and so for me it was a waste of money. It is ok for the complete beginner but unlike the old one there are now books just as good if not better

Could the author of this review suggest one of the books he thinks is as good as his original? Thank you.
