1.0 out of 5 stars Easy steps to child abuse, 28 Nov. 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The New Strong-Willed Child (Paperback)
If you want to learn how to beat your child and feel good about it, then this is the book for you.
The author will tell you that he was beaten as a child, and of course he turned out beautifully.
He will claim that spanking with a swich or a belt is the only way to show your "willfully defiant" child that you love him.
I am appalled by the smooth way he tries to make physical punnishment of children into an act of love.
Please do not buy into malignant train of thought, and
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.
L.S, Reg Nurse, Norway

Interesting though I think you have seriously misunderstood the book and may be a little on the sensitive side!

I agree. I read the book and put it in the trash. I think Dobson is a jerk.

I think we have gone to the other extreme in society, and now we live in an age where children rule! We have elderly people afraid of the youth today, and young pre-schoolers not afraid to mouth off at their parents! Children sadly have no respect for their elders.
