Not the best coffee, sadly,

This isn't a bad coffee maker by any means, but it just isn't as good as I had hoped.
Appearance is fine - it's quite large but not unattractive, and the controls and display are simple, useful, and informative. The glass jug feel quite robust, unlike some more delicate jugs I've had. As mentioned by others, the size of the entrance to the water chamber is quite small, not not unmanageable.
The timer facility was a "must have" for me, since it means I can prepare the coffee the night before for my early morning start and come downstairs to fresh coffee.
The only downside is that the coffee which is made is not as strong and full bodied as I like it. On previous machines the "standard" measure of one tablespoon of coffee per cup produced nice strong coffee, with this maker it seems rather weaker.
I've increased the quantities of coffee used, and switched the strength of my coffee from a medium 3/5 to a strong 5/5, and between both measures I'm now getting coffee as I like it. But even now I'm not convinced the coffee is as good as I've had with other machines. My suspicion is that the water isn't getting quite as hot as it ideally should - not a fault, but a design issue.
Overall, it's an adequate machine, and not bad enough to be sent back, but just not as good as I would like.
