Fantastic for making baby food,
This review is from: Breville VHB063 Cordless Hand Blender (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Kitchen & Home)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The blender looks really good, is sleek, ergonomic, and aesthetically pleasing.
It's a good gift for a gadget lover, and looks impressive in the kitchen!
The charging unit is great - it keeps both parts tidy and shows them off, makes a good feature of what could be a cumbersome item to store.
It does the job - blends! (everything needs to be cut into 1cm cubes but I think that's the case for most blenders?)
It's very handy - it can blend pretty much anything IN pretty much anything - e.g. direct in the saucepan.
It's tricky to clean - I'm going to have to buy a washing up brush because my sponge scourer just won't reach underneath and around the blades
It would be good to have more recipes in the little book (Most of them are baby food. Great idea by the way, if you need to make baby food)
It would also be good to have more settings: To turn the blender on you have to first press the unlock button, then press and hold down the "on" button so you can't pulse etc.
After 1 minute you must rest it for at least 1 minute - I found myself timing how long we were using it for. Though I expect it would just turn off if it overheated anyway.
SO, THE GENERAL CONSENSUS
If you have the requirement for making great baby food quickly and easily this is fantastic - highly recommend. Otherwise, grate your veggies instead and stick to broth.
