This review is from: PowerBee ® Compact Solar Phone Charger for All Iphones / Ipods (excluding iphone 5), Nokia, Samsung, Micro usb (many phones including HTC/Blackberry/Smartphones), Mini usb (Electronics)
The charger has a built in battery, if the battery in the charger has no charge then the units solar panels do not have enough out put even in the strongest light to charge the internal battery. Forcing you to hook the charger up to the mains to charge the internal battery, which defeats the point of having a solar charger.

This is incorrect, it is simply untrue, please call me on 0845 094 8821, it doesn't matter whether the battery is completely flat, 1/2 full 3/4 full, the only time it will not charge
in the sun is if it is 100% full? I do not understand your remarks but I can explain if you give me a quick call

Mine has done the same. I received it yesterday and left my phone in the sun for a few hours and it worked perfectly. Today it was even sunnier than yesterday and I went to charge my phone only to find that it would not charge unless I connected the device to the computer first. Disappointing as it had such a promising start.

I have had no reply from any of the 'customers' who have left these damaging reviews, it is a shame because not only can I not trace any sale to them but also I cannot send them a replacement unit...our solar chargers are guaranteed for 1 year as standard and it only takes a day to process and we cover postage aswell... obviously the units rarely suffer any problems so please read the positive reviews as so many customers are over the moon with our products, we spec them very highly and sell them at the lowest possible price we can, unfortunately this usually upsets the competition.........

Bill Maryon says:
Hi, i bought one of these in June to take away on our summer road trips. It worked at home before I took it, although I didn't try a full charge on my iphone 3, but couldn't get it to charge the phone whilst away despite getting the green light showing it was charging in the sun. I now get messages saying this device is incompatible with my iphone and my partners iphone 4 doesn't even acknowledge it is connected1 So, a waste of money on our part and it let us down when we needed it , but I suppose it's now too late to send it back for a refund. Anybody recommend a better product?
