Very good camera for the money, but...,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Panasonic DMC-TZ25EB-K Compact Camera - Black (12.1MP, 16x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD (Electronics)
Have to admit I was quite surprised by the image quality, even at hard conditions. I don't expect cameras to do miracles - use it right, and it will serve you well.
The zoom gets surprisingly clear details from large distances. I don't expect it to replace a professional zoom SLR on a tripod, as some reviewers seem to expect... take it for what it is - and enjoy the excellent results.
HDR functions well. On iA it wouldn't always realize that it's needed, but try 2-3 times from the same angel, or set it manually (choose a scene) and the results will surprise you.
Video quality good as well, but I hardly use that option, so I don't know how far you can push it.
Amazingly sharp macros from just an inch from target. You can use it to point and shoot, and you don't have to worry about your hand shaking a little after a few pints. Or you can set it manually. I still haven't figured out the full manual setting, but I havn't used too much time studying it either, I use my DSLR for those shots.
Still impressed with picture quality, I have to change my review to 2 stars. I've learned, that the camera isn't tight which means dirt can get into the lens from the inside. My camera produces now pictures with two large black stains in the center, which makes the camera useless.
I mailed Panasonic and they replied: The camera is not tight, which means warranty wouldn't cover this problem, as the camera isn't defective.
So I have to chuck this camera and get a new one; NOT a Panasonic, sorry.

This dirt on the pictures is exactly why I am looking to update my TZ10!
