How much classical music is '2,000 songs'?,

This is a fantastic piece of kit. I was delighted at how versatile it was and how easy to use for someone like me who is not all that good at technical stuff. In fact I was so delighted that I bought a second one (both reconditioned ones) so that I could have one specifically for classical music and one for a mixture of stuff. There have already been many glowing reviews so all I'll add is a note about the storage capacity for classical music as when buying I didn't find the usual stuff about x thousand songs very helpful. Of the 4GB of storage space on the device 3.75GB are available for storage. I've now used up about 2GB and I've put on it ten symphonies, seven concertos and about 50 other pieces which range from short things such as Sibelius's Finlandia to longer pieces such as The Rite of Spring, Scheherazade and Elgar's Enigma Variations. So it holds a good deal of music. Of course it has the additional good thing about it that it will also take a micro SD card so you can extend the storage space that way. But to be honest unless you were wanting to compare several complete versions of Gotterdamerung you'll probably find the 4GB adequate.
I'd just end by saying that I found the Sansa earphones that came with the device perfectly useable, and I also find that when listening to music in bed at night all the controls are easy to locate in the dark. However the 15 hours battery life is a bit optimistic, I think. I'd say you get nearer ten hours playing time from a full charge.
