This review is from: Redeeming Love (Paperback)I really struggled with this book.
It was recommended to me by a retired schoolmaster. He described it as a sort of Christian Mills and Boon, but said he found it surprisingly moving.
I haven't read any Mills and Boon but I did have to work hard to get into this book. I found it very simple and agree with the reviewer who talks of clunky dialogue. I had to force myself to read it and it wasn't until I was at least half way through that I began to enjoy it.
It is the story of Hosea, thinly disguised. To me the book is far longer than it needs to be.
There are some irritating features, particularly the use of names such as Pair a Dice.
There is nothing in this book that makes me want to read any more of Francine Rivers' work.
