Bit boring and not for my toddler who's almost 3.,
This review is from: Peppa Pig 2 - Puddles of Fun (PC) (Video Game)
My son is 3 in a few months and as he loves Peppa Pig I thought I'd buy this and put it away for his birthday. Not too sure now whether he'll actually get much use out of it until is much older but I fear he'll have moved on to something else by then. I installed it this morning for a look at it before we played the games either together on he played them on his own. Two of them aren't even games/puzzles!! Meet the cast is literally putting your mouse over a picture and finding out who the character is but you know this if you're already a fan. The other non-game/puzzle is cards and invites which is literally a set of printables that are cards and invites. Where's the game/puzzle in that?
Noughts and crosses is good and will be great for him when he is old enough to understand it but as none of the characters appear on that game, I might as well play it on paper with him. Rock Paper Scissors is again fine and uses references to the programme (such as the dinosaurs for George). Snakes and Ladders should be good and I might try him with that now, however it does take a little while for the character to move the squares but will provide a good opportunity for improving counting (wish it wasn't as squeaky a noise though!). Pig Solitaire is good but as I can't win the easy one then I guess my toddler might struggle lol!. Memory Game is good as well and is like my electronic Simon that I used to have when I was growing up; however I don't know if he'll maintain interest at this age. Finally there's Sudopigs, which I did like and is good for teaching maths but certainly not at his age.
So, am I pleased I bought it? Not really.
How old do I think he will be before we use it? 4-5ish (maybe) judging by the maths skills involved
Is the description accurate? Nope, not 8 games or puzzles on but 6 with 2 additional resources.
