Secure lightweight laptop stand,
This review is from: Easy Riser Notebook Stand, 12 to 17" notebooks, 11 1/2 x 1 1/4, Gray, Sold as 1 Each (Personal Computers)
I'm using this stand with a basic widescreen laptop stood on top of a sturdy desk. The laptop seems to be secure in place. (I was worried before I purchaed the item that the laptop might feel as though it could topple.) I would not use this stand on a wobbly table. (Kensington offer a higer priced stand which encloses the laptop from infront of the keyboard, which would be more suitable for wobbly tables.)
I don't travel around with this stand, but it would small and light enough for that purpose. There is a tightening nut at the right hand end of the hinge which is used to secure the angle (and I suspect that this part would eventually fail if the stand were constanly in a rucksack) but the nut seems well made and should not fail quickly.
This seems an excellent stand for the price, or for travelling with. If money is not an issue then consider the more expensive generic Kensington stand or a custom docking station from the laptop manufacturer.
