The Essential Guide for Learners and Experienced Riders,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Pass the Bike Test: and be a Great Rider Too! (Paperback)
I bought this book a couple of months ago along with many other Learner books available. This one stood head and shoulders above the rest for many reasons. It doesn't just focus on the motorcycle test, it also gives you an insight into real world riding after the test. Very well written, funny in places and covers subjects and advice that you get from nowhere else. To a new learner it is all a dark art, what kit do do I need and what to avoid, what to concentrate on and what not to beat yourself up about if you find things difficult. Take your time, think and slow down. Vital stuff like Counter steering from the first time you ride, emergency breaking on bends (if you have left it too late) even your riding attitude is all covered. Loads of advice on choosing a training school, what should be offered on the syllabus etc. So much information on and after your test as well. The emphasis on safety, continued training and personal self development as a rider. Not just pass and forget about any more learning. Constantly aiming to increase your riding abilities. Staying alive, put a price on that.
This book is a must.
They also run fantastic Courses at Mallory Park Circuit Based Training which I can recommend as I read the book, booked the course, Passed the test last week Mod 1 + 2. Not bad as I'm Disabled and now enabled, Job Done Great Guys. Many Thanks.
