This review is from: Dear Lupin...: Letters to a Wayward Son (Kindle Edition)
Any parent will recognise the rollercoast ride of mild dissappointment and worry, interspersed with the pride, joy and optimism that is all part of being a parent, especially when your kids are trying to make it in the big wide world, all on their own.
A little more information on what Charlie/Lupin is up to in his life would have been welcome and this would perhaps have helped make more sense of some of Mortimer senior's letters.
Dad never stops worryng about his son, even though son is grown up and more than capable of looking after himself. But the book is worth it simply for some of Dad's cutting and utterly hilarious observations about the people he meets.
