This review is from: The Making of the Atomic Bomb (Paperback)
You'd imagine that this might be boring but the author mingles a lot of the scientific developments at time with the political developments, and the personalties involved. All in all this makes the book a good read. The author does a particularly good job in explaining the development of atomic phyics prior to the bomb project, and about the contibution of the greats in this field.
This is a long book, and it will appeal more to those with a science background. I guess those without a science background will still enjoy the book if they just skip some of the heavier parts.
