Simply written which is what you need if like me you have no experience of the industry or if you are a seasoned pro it is probably just the brand of common sense that you are looking for. It talks about the practicals and the pitfalls. Worth being a part of your kit if you , like me , are contemplating salon ownership as a business proposition. I think it would also be really useful to those who are working form home, or on the road to enable them to think through the responsibilities for others when opening a salon. I would have like to see more information on business models, e.g, how people are paid because this seems to be critical and it seems to be a bit shrouded in mystery. I have found quite a few models, PAYE, Booth, mix of AYE and self employed, etc. However, I cant find percentages etc and this question wasnt answered here either. So, for a starter level thinking place this offers that guide , step by step. At the end of it you will also be in a better position to ask the right questions. As a business coach I also found it useful to support clients who run salons as it gave me an insight that was clear and simple.
