This was a favourite LP set, but something seems to have gone horribly wrong with the latest re-mastering. The balances are all over the place with the changes in acoustic being quite startling - in "Quanto bella" Domingo sounds as if he's in another country. This isn't an isolated phenomenon, the same happens to Geraint Evans, in the middle of a duet.
This really isn't a lot of fun. Sadly, it now sounds like a consruct from different sessions in different locations, with the jigsaw being put together after the event, an impression which never arose in previous presentations of this recording.
