The author is Jewish, has been bought up in a strict orthodox Jewish household and taught to fear god in all his omnipotent majesty. Despite his blasphemous language he is not an atheist he is infact or appears to be quite a religious man. The book is a recollection of his childhood memories through to his early marriage and his personal battle with his beliefs and trying to gain a comprehension of the implications of his beliefs. It is often hilarious, occasionally shocking and quite moving whilst he reveals his fears and concerns about the actions and attitudes he is taking and expressing. I give it five stars as he is honest and very amusing in his reflections.
Well worth a read if you are god fearing, an atheist or just someone interested in personal reflections.
