All of the wineries described in the book still exist, so their inclusion is of more than historical interest; I still buy wine from Monsieur Pujol at Domaine Mas Rous in Montesquieu (he hardly looks 12 years older). Admittedly, the first chapter on the history of wine in Roussillon and that chapter on Byrrh might interest anyone interested in wine history.
I'm not convinced grouping wines in terms of price/style/quality would have helped on a visit to the area; I organised the wineries in the book according to where they are located to facilitate finding them (and there is one map - OK it's not a fabulous map).
Sorry you were disappointed. I enjoyed writing it!
