This review is from: Final Destination 5 [DVD] (DVD)
I think this movie must be aimed at the type of person who likes to watch You Tube video clips of real road, railway etc. fatalities. Just one gory death scene after another while a vaguely contrived plot moved between each one. The worst was the one with the laser eye surgery, I had to leave the room while that was on. How this was classified in the UK as a 15 certificate is beyond me.
As if the constant bombardment of gratuitous gore wasn't enough, during the end credits we were then "treated" to a resume of all the death scenes from the previous FD films.
I'm not an old fuddy duddy or necessarily weak stomached but while gore has its place in context (Private Ryan, Ironclad etc.) I just can't see what can justify this type of morbid production.

Watched the first two, SWMBO was watching this while I half watched.
BTW any critics of the review check out some of my earlier reviews - quite apparent that I have no objection to gore etc. in context, but this is just nasty from the word go.
And I don't think the "Daily Mail" or any other national newspaper has anything to do with that opinion!

A film review based on violent content? Nothing about storyline? Acting?
I have to agree with Mad4It.

Because awarding it with an 18 certificate would lose it's target audience. You do realise they're trying to make money, right? Besides, It's not that harsh for a 15 rating. There are tons of films with the same rating out there with gory violence in it. It wasn't 'gratuitous' either.
