No information before I Ordered It,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (PC/Mac) (DVD-ROM)
When I tried to install the program it would not complete the install but rolled back the program to the pre-install stage. On investigation I discovered a message which said that the disc was not for 64 bit computers. There was no indication of this on the original information about the program disc before I placed my order. So I have wasted my money, unless, of course, Amazon will replace the disc with a 64 bit version of the program.

Thanks for posting this Alec ... I was considering this software but have a 64 bit computer. Would be interested in whether Amazon solved your problem ... thanks.

Are you sure Alec's comment is totally correct? In the product description here on Amazon, it states in point 2: "Adobe Premiere Elements Editor runs in 32-bit mode on Windows XP and Windows Vista and in 64-bit or 32-bit mode on Windows 7 and Windows 8; all other applications run native on 32-bit operating systems and in 32-bit compatibility mode on 64-bit operating systems.
I'm guessing Alec is therefore running XP or Vista but on a 64 bit machine, is that the case?
The reason I'm posting this is I was about to purchase Premiere 12 but run Win7 on a 64 bit PC, so was a bit confused by your review. Anyhow, I hope you've managed to get something sorted.

Hi, some people have had issues with Adobe supplied links for the 64 bit version of premiere, but the program works fine on both of my win7 machines just make sure you install the 64 bit version.
this link is worth a look at, http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-eleme
Hope this helps.

I would have to agree. I have it running on Windows 7 64 bit with no issues at all. I would think Shrimp is probably right, he is running 64 bit XP or Vista which it quite clearly states is a no go, however without more information we will never know.
