This review is from: The Diary of a Toiletgoer (Kindle Edition)
I can't think of any other writer who's written so interestingly about such a mundane subject. It's beautifully observed and refreshingly honest.
Most novels are about extraordinary events, the author of this novel however, has set himself the goal of writing about trivial things while keeping the reader engaged all the way through. The result is an entertaining and thought-provoking piece of work that's effortless and delightful to read.
While most people would find the subject matter of the book revolting and would avoid talking about it, the author has confronted the fear and embarrassments that are associated with the ritual of going to the toilet.
It's packed with hilarious and laugh-out-loud moments, and it challenges accepted ideas about what a novel can be. If you've been wanting to become a writer but haven't had the courage or got round to do it, reading this novel will make you pick up the pen and write down your stories.
