Spoiled by online play,
This review is from: Forza Motorsport 3 (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
I looked forward to this game, played the demo, parted with my cash, even bought a steering wheel.
The game is good fun to play. The graphics and sound are good and there's more than enough cars. You can pick any car you want to drive and just dive in or you can go into career mode and work your way up through the classes.
Apart from some of the worst AI drivers thinking the back of my car is for use instead of brakes there's not too much wrong at all UNTIL you play online. I've seen several reviews recently claiming it's a backward step from where previous versions were. I've not raced online before so I can't confirm that, but it is awful. You can't race 'normal' cars, you can't set up to race with damage options turned on (unless you do it just with friends, so it's like going on the dodgems because there's no deterrent to stop people bashing into you.
A good game spoiled by terrible online options.

Buster Blister is absolutely right. You want a clean and realistic online racing but others would just make your driving being ruined by smashing your car behind. There should be a damage effect on online as well.

Naughty Boy says:
Online racers just can't drive, simple as that, every driving game online gets the same kind of people with that mentality, you can only console yourself that none of them could ever make it in real life as racing drivers, because driving like that would either get them disqualified or injured.

Mr. SCM Bell says:
No kidding about the AI. It's absolutely disgusting. The computer controlled cars simply do not react to your presence at all and I would like to hear the manufacturer admit something along the lines of: 'We spent so much time on the cars we didn't bother working on the AI at all.'
As soon as you make peace with that, it's a great game.

totally agree with you there m8 the ai stinks and the online drivers cant win without rammin you off the road, ive resorted to playing with my friends who are all equally matched and this way the damage can be enabled and because were friends were more curtious of each other, its the same in dirt2 ranked games, its a shame because there should be ranked simulation matches and that would sort the non sim drivers from the real sim drivers.
