This review is from: Giottos GTMML 3270B 4 Section 170cm Pro Monopod (Electronics)
I read the reviews before buying and decided to go for it.
I have a 5D Mk. 2 which with the Canon L 200mm lens is a hefty piece of camera to hold still. The 3270B does the business. I experimented and got pin sharp pictures at 1/30th sec which is a long time to expose with a 200mm lens and I need this 'cos I invariably use ISO 100. I read that people have had problems with the monopod breaking, but it's like any other piece of equipment, you've got to treat it carefully.
I like it very much and would highly recommend it.
Let me add that initially there's a minor problem in changing the camera screw around - the grub screw to undo and release the top is well hidden under the strap. When that's removed and you've taken the plate and camera screw off, just play about with it till you understand how the screw fits back in upside down. The plate is the last piece to go back on. Then, of course the grub screw again to hold everything in place.
