A fine novel,

Torn Water by John Lynch is a powerful and touching novel to read. It is written with sense of purpose and direction. The novel is beautifully written, with a nice story, credible characters and a real picture of modern Ireland. John Lynch by trade is an accomplished actor. Lynch's literacy skills and qualities equally matches with any high profiled authors, as this novel clearly justifies.
The main character featured in the novel is known as James. He is a troubled teenager who leads a lonely and despairing life, but their is glimpse of happiness and hope to be discovered in life, even if great difficulties hinder this. The novel reflects though a prismatic outlook of life. What lessons do we learn from this novel? Some individuals suffer from misfortunes as in the case of main character featured as the novel clearly points. The main features of the character's life are skilfully and vividly portrayed. You will feel a high degree of sympathy and empathy for the character whilst reading. His main mission is to search for the true meaning of life. He fulfils this goal by distancing from reality into a fantasy world. The theme dealt with nicely in this novel is a touching account.
Torn Water is a fine and purposeful debut. It shows the true literacy potential of John Lynch displays. His literacy skills are unique in its own way and manner presented to the reader. The novel is a great read that one can admire for its beauty and it exemplary for fine novel writing .
