This review is from: Ted: Extended Edition [DVD] (DVD)
All Family Guy fans will know that this is a Seth MacFarlane movie (voice acting and direction) and is a fantasy about a boy's teddy bear that comes to life and becomes his life-long best buddy.
So far, so good. When Ted (the bear, are you still with me?) as an adult starts to drink, swear and generally act like Seth Rogan in just about every Rogan movie you have ever seen, it is quite funny and a little surreal. But this is happening in the first 15 minutes and the rest of the movie is unfunny, predictable déjà vu. By 30 minutes, I was praying for something wittier, sharper or just different from the tedious first half hour
I know Family Guy fans will jump all over this review but for gross- out comedy, you cannot beat the likes of There's Something About Mary or Animal House. They were actually funny.
