This review is from: The Emerald Tiger (Doctor Who) (Audio CD)
Positive.
A great fast paced adventure by writer Barnaby Edwards.
The main cast all play there parts excellently especially Sarah Sutton as Nyssa.

Negative.
Non i can think of i loved this audio play.

Audio Info.
This is a 2CD 4 parter Running Time 120 minutes, Extras include Music, Trailer & Behind the scenes interviews.

Trivia.
Neil Stacy is best known as Robert in 1980's sitcom Duty Free.

Review.
The Doctor & his companions Nyssa,Tegan & Turlough all land in India in 1926 to hopefully catch a good game of cricket.

But event's turn sinister as a Chauffeur working for a Indian Professor who is rabid suddenly runs through the streets savagely attacking Nyssa biting into her arm.

Nyssa is then infected with a virus that causes her the power of telepathy & undergoes a part transform into a Wear-Tiger whom comunicates telepathically to another female Tiger.

The Doctor & his companions are introduced to Lady Foster whom tells the Doctor a story about The Emerald Tiger & asks him to join in the Quest to retrieve it as it may save Nyssa whom infection is slowly killing her.

The Doctor agrees & set's off with his companions in the Quest of locating The Emerald Tiger & a race against time ensures, But what are the motives of Lady Foster for wanting the Emerald Tiger retrieved?

What is Major Haggard really up to in all this & can the Doctor & his companions reach the Lost City of Lanka in time to find the Emerald Tiger & save Nyssa's life?

This is a full on action adventure romp for The Fifth Doctor & his companions all that's missing from this play is a Fedora, Bullwhip & John Williams iconic theme as this is Doctor Who does Indiana Jones.

The writer of this adventure Barnaby Edwards captures the right tone & feel for the plot engaging the listerner into the action by adding suspense & intrigue.

Peter Davison is the heroic adventurer here that's much more suited to his Doctor apart from David Tennants Tenth Doctor i could only see him & Davisons Doctor starring in this adventure as it play's to the Fifth Doctor's strengths.

Sarah Sutton does well as Nyssa getting plenty to do in this adventure that slightly sidelines Tegan & Turlough but all the companions have had a chance to shine in previous audio adventures.

This is a highly Recommended purchase & is one of the best Fifth Doctor adventures in the Big Finish range, Let the adventure begin.
