Love these books but she needs an English editor,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: And Only to Deceive (Lady Emily Mysteries Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
These books are pretty addictive. Great stories and engaging characters. They are only marred by the obvious naÔveté of the presumably American author. She is writing about Victorian aristocratic characters who talk about "figuring things out", spending "the Fall" somewhere and something not happening "anytime soon". These jar and could do easily have been edited out by a competent English editor.
Otherwise, highly recommended.

Thanks for pointing this out and saving me some money. Amercanisms in English historical novels really ruin a book so I will give this a miss.
