Seiko ER-9000 Oxford Dictionary,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Seiko ER-9000 Oxford Reference Library (Office Product)
Very good product for solving fiendishly crypic crosswords. The manual is too comprehensive to read so there are one or two things I've yet to master. It seems to come up with american spellings before english, which surprised me although it's not been a problem in use.
The graphic displayed whilst a word is being typed in is rather naff; it would have been better the show the word being typed in a larger format rather than waste space with a poor graphic.
The screen is nice and large, although the product is just a little too large to fit in a pocket.
A row of keys on the keyboard seems to be offset - disappointing for a product of this price.
The product was advertised as Japanese, but it's actually assembled in China.
The product was advertised at 2 different prices, and I never got an explanation from Amazon to the 2 e-mails I sent asking for clarification.

I'm surprised you mention how good it is for cryptic crosswords because I have found it useless for that. The idea that it could help with cryptic crosswords was the reason for buying it, but it doesn't!
I write in the clue, and it simply repeats the phrase. I can't fathom how it is supposed to 'help'. Feel I've wasted my money.

Are you using it correctly? I'm not sure it gives a result if you type in the clue. If you have a minimum number of letters (in the correct spaces) it invariably lists the possible words. Also, it's pretty good at solving anagrams.

Thank you Matt, yes I have found the anagram solving part very good. When it stated it was great for solving cryptic clues I did think that it would give 'some' help with the answer.
